Privacy Policy

Effective date: December 21, 2022

Netizaar Inc. ("Netizaar," "we," "us" or "our") provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users on (i) our proprietary software app for mobile devices (the "App") and (ii) the Netizaar website available at www.netizaar.com (together with its sub-domains, content, and the services, the "Site"). The App and Site are collectively referred to herein as the "Services."

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you an email notification). Your continued use of Netizaar or the Service after any modification to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such modification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you access the Services to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

As used in this policy, the terms "using" and "processing" information include using cookies on a computer, subjecting the information to statistical or other analysis and using or handling information in any way, including, but not limited to collecting, storing, evaluating, modifying, deleting, using, combining, disclosing and transferring information within our organization or among our affiliates within the United States or internationally.

Public Information

Most activity on Netizaar is public, including your profile information, your time zone and language, when you created your account, and your Netcasts and certain information about your Netcasts like the date, time, and application and version of Netizaar you Netcasted from. You also may choose to publish your location in your Netcasts or your Netizaar profile. The lists you create, people you follow/friend with and who follow you, and Netcasts you Like or Comment on are also public. Information posted about you by other people who use our services may also be public. For example, other people mention you in a Netcast or rate you with new Netizaar scores. You are responsible for your Netcasts and other information you provide through our services, and you should think carefully about what you make public, especially if it is sensitive information. If you update your public information on Netizaar, such as changing your profile information or deactivating your account, we will reflect your updated content on Netizaar for iOS.

Contact Information and Address Books

We use your contact information, such as your email address or phone number, to authenticate your account and keep it - and our services - secure, and to help prevent spam, fraud, and abuse. We also use contact information to personalize our services, enable certain account features (for example, for login verification or Netizaar via SMS), and to send you information about our services. If you provide us with your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Netizaar to that number as your country’s laws allow. Netizaar also uses your contact information to market to you as your country’s laws allow, and to help others find your account if your settings permit, including through third-party services and client applications. You can use your settings for email and mobile notification to control notifications you receive from Netizaar. You can also unsubscribe from a notification by following the instructions contained within the notification.

You can choose to upload and sync your address book on Twitter so that we can help you find and connect with people you know and help others find and connect with you. We also use this information to better recommend content to you and others.

If you email us, we will keep the content of your message, your email address, and your contact information to respond to your request.

Chats and Non-Public Communications

We provide certain features that let you communicate more privately or control who sees your content. For example, you can use Chats to have non-public conversations on Netizaar, or protect your Netcasts. When you communicate with others by sending or receiving Chats, we will store and process your communications and information related to them. This includes link scanning for malicious content, website URLs, detection of spam and prohibited images, and review of reported issues. We also use information about whom you have communicated with and when (but not the content of those communications) to better understand the use of our services, to protect the safety and integrity of our platform, and to show more relevant content. We share the content of your Chats with the people you’ve sent them to; we do not use them to serve you ads. Note that if you interact in a way that would ordinarily be public with Netizaar content shared with you via Chats, for instance by liking a Netcast, those interactions will be public. When you use features like Chats to communicate, remember that recipients have their own copy of your communications on Netizaar - even if you delete your copy of those messages from your account - which they may be duplicate, store, or re-share.

Information Collection and Use

Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Services, features and content and to enable users to enjoy and easily navigate the Services.

Personally Identifiable Information. In order to access certain features of the Services, you must register to create an Account. In order to create your Account to use the Services, we will collect certain Personal Information (defined below) from you. You may register directly via the App (if you have downloaded the App) by logging into your account with certain third party SNSs via the App or Site, as described herein. If you decide to register through an SNS, we will extract the Personal Information and other information you have provided to the SNS, (i) such as your "real" name, email address, profile information (including but not limited to birthday, education history, hometown, location, relationship status); (ii) your profile picture and other photos; (iii) the names and profile pictures of your friends, your friends' profile information (including but not limited to birthday, education history, hometown, location, relationship status); and (iv) certain other information you make publicly available via the SNS from the account you have with the applicable SNS and use that information to create your Account. The specific information that we extract may depend on the privacy settings you or your SNS friends have with the SNS.

By "Personal Information," we mean information about you that can be used to contact or identify you. Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, pictures of you, your email address, your postal address, push notification name (if applicable), billing information (if applicable) and mobile device information to Netizaar when choosing to participate in various uses of the Services, such as registering as a user, updating your status or requesting status for your contacts. We use your Personal Information mainly to provide the Services and administer your inquiries. The specific information that we extract may depend on the privacy settings you and your SNS friends have with the SNS. For certain SNSs through which you may choose to register, a pop-up box may appear as part of the Account registration process which you will need to approve in order to proceed, and which will describe the types of personal information that we will obtain from, and the types of activities that we or you may perform in connection with, your account on such SNS. You hereby consent to our access to and collection of personal information about you that we obtain from the applicable SNS, which access and use shall be in accordance with this Privacy Policy. In addition, you hereby agree that we may continue to access and use such personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy in the event the Services no longer use the SNS platform through which we obtained such information or if your Account otherwise ceases to be linked to your SNS account. In order to provide the Services, Netizaar will also periodically access your address book or contact list on your mobile phone to locate the mobile phone numbers of other Netizaar users ("in-network" numbers), or otherwise categorize other mobile phone numbers as "out-network" numbers, which are stored as one-way irreversibly hashed values.

We also collect the other information that you provide as part of registration and the administration and personalization of your Account (e.g., without limitation, zip code (on its own), age, gender and individual preferences) ("Non-Identifying Information").

Certain Non-Identifying Information would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers (for example, combining your zip code with your street address) in a way that enables you to be identified. But the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other non-identifying information (for example, your viewing preferences). We may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information and aggregate it with information collected from other Netizaar Users (defined below) to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality and value of the Services and to analyze and understand how our Services are used. We may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically, for instance to deliver a product to you according to your preferences or restrictions.

We may also use your Personal Information to contact you with Netizaar newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such communications from us, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications or update your "Settings" information. (See "Changing or Deleting Information" below).

Log Data. When you visit the Services, whether as a member or a non-registered user just browsing (any of these, a "Netizaar User"), our servers automatically record information that your browser sends ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type or the webpage you were visiting before you came to the Site, pages of our Site and App that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Site and App, access times and dates, and other statistics. We use this information to monitor and analyze use of the Services and for technical administration of the Services, to increase functionality and user-friendliness of the Services, and to better tailor them to our visitors' needs. For example, some of this information is collected so that when you visit the Site or App again, it will recognize you and potentially serve advertisements, content, and other information appropriate to your interests. We also use this information to verify that visitors to the Site and users of the App meet the criteria required to process their requests.

Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use various technologies to collect information, and this may include sending cookies to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve our Services and your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular and count visits. We may also collect information using web beacons (also known as "tracking pixels"). Web beacons are electronic images that may be used in our Services or emails and help deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness and determine whether an email has been opened and acted upon. For more information about cookies, and how to disable them, please see " Changing or Deleting Your Information; Cookies" below.

These email addresses, SNS contacts and mobile telephone numbers will be used only for the purpose of sending the email, SNS communication or text message communication to the addressee.
